Baja Pescador, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting fishing communities and promoting ocean conservation, is excited to announce a significant new round of funding. This investment will help us broaden our efforts and advance our mission to transform how people engage with fishing and sustainability.
Starting Small
Until now, Baja Pescador has been entirely self-funded. Despite substantial interest from investors, we have focused on our mission and maintained independence, allowing us to:

Every aspect of Baja Pescador is crafted with intentionality to support low-income fishing families and advance ocean conservation. Our dedication to adding value and staying true to our vision has ensured that we effectively serve our communities and protect the environment.
2. Operate Under the Radar
Operating quietly has allowed us to build a loyal following and make substantial progress without external pressure. This approach enabled us to grow organically and build a global community of supporters from our base in Southern California.
3. Build a Sustainable Nonprofit
We’ve prioritized authentic engagement and sustainable growth, relying on community trust and support rather than paid promotions or data sales. This strategy has provided a solid foundation for long-term impact.
